Your Guide to the Vogue100 Festival 2016.

It’s 100 years since the foundation of British Vogue and in true Vogue style, what better way to keep celebrating than to bring together a host of fashion and beauty royalty before our eyes? Vogue Festival is certainly becoming bigger and better every year and on the centenary, they’ve organised a pretty amazing line up.

The Vogue 100 Festival 2016 will take place May 21st to 22nd inclusive and if you can’t stretch to the all access £1000 ticket then feast your eyes on the Union Times guide below. The weekend, as usual, will be split into a 2 day event. Note there are wheelchair access tickets available too.

 

The proceedings on day one (Saturday 21st of May) will see a massive array of stars giving genuinely interesting classes you can learn from and gain an insight into their lives. The highlights include:

-‘A World in Fashion, a Life in Vogue’ – the former backbone of American Vogue, Grace Coddington, will be jetting in for an exclusive chat with her friend and past assistant Lucinda Chambers, British Vogues fashion director. From 10-11am, tickets for the event cost £60.

-‘Fashion, Friendship & Fabulous Lashes’ – She’s the most talked about reality star at the minute, it’s none other than Kim Kardashian in conversation with the most talked about make up artist, Charlotte Tilbury and Fiona Golfar from VogueUnfortunately, it’s now sold out but who knows where in London you might see Kim(ye) throughout the weekend!

-‘How to be a Brilliant Make Up Artist’ – this one is for the beauty gurus. For enthusiasts alike, this will sure be a promising ‘super-tutorial’Lisa Eldridge, Hannah Martin and Val Garland will be sharing their secrets to success with tips & tricks alongside demonstrations. Tickets are still available at £80 and will take place from 10am till 11.45am.

There are many other great events on the Saturday with tickets still available here. Alexa Chung, Alexandra Shulman, Sasha Wilkins, Kathy Philips, Isabel Marant and Caroline De Maigret, to name but a few, will be in attendance at various times during the day.

 

Certainly a touch of magic about Sunday, highlights of the days events will see:

-‘How to make a Fashion Video’ – Vogue’s Creative Director, Jaime Perlman and Condé Nast director of video content Danielle Bennison Brown will be explaining the key to online success. This is definitely the event aspiring vloggers and presenters should attend as there’ll be a lot of professional advice to take home. Taking place from 10.30-12.30pm, a pass to the show will cost £80.

-‘Hidden Treasures: The Vogue Archive’ – If you want to know what the Vogue 100 celebrations are all about, then take a trip with Robin Muir, the curator, to explore Vogue’s archives and around the globe issues. This event is priced at £40 and will be on from 12.45-1.30pm.

-‘How to Shop Smart’ – A must for fashionistas and those looking to shop savvy. Vogue fashion editors, Sarah Harris, Nura Khan and Francesca Burns, alongside Sabrina Cannon, head of personal shopping at Harrods will bring together their own wardrobes and show you how exactly to show smart. At 4.45-5.30, you can see the pro’s share their tips for £40.

Again, there are numerous events on the final day of the Vogue 100 Festival 2016 including talks with designers from brands, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci. ‘Building your Brand’, ‘Secrets of the Hair Heroes’ and ‘What is a Designer?’ are among the listed proceedings you can catch at venues, The Royal Geographical Society and Vogue World, Kensington Gardens, London.
