#YouAintNoMuslimBruv hashtag trends on social media after London knife attack


Hashtag #YouAintNoMuslimBruv is trending on social media as users commend response to suspected London tube attacker.


An armed man wielding a knife stabbed three people before reportedly saying “This is for Syria” at Leytonstone station in east London on Saturday night.

Britons have shown their contempt for the suspected London tube station terror attacker on social media, sending the hashtag #YouAintNoMuslimBruv trending.

An aired video of the aftermath of the attack shows the man pinned to the floor after being Tasered by police forces as a bystander shouts to him: “You ain’t no Muslim, bruv.”

The phrase has been widely followed by social media users who say it is the perfect riposte to attempts to spread violence and terror in London – disowning and sidelining the attacker.

David Cameron also reflected on the hashtag:
