Entrepreneur Richard Branson unveiled the latest passenger spacecraft by his space travel tourism company Virgin Galactic. The unveiling comes 16 months after the crash that took the life of a test pilot.
‘Space Ship Unity’ is part of the SpaceShipTwo line.
The ‘VSS Unity’ replaces the Enterprise, which crashed in October 2014.
The new spacecraft looks the same visually on the exterior but includes key security features to prevent similar issues from happening.
VSS Unity will be able to carry passengers up to 100 km above the planet, for the price of $250,000 a ticket.
