Christmas is all about family, tradition and most importantly, relaxing. Christmas hasn’t begun until Love Actually comes on the TV. A heartwarming tale of love at Christmas, Love Actually shows London in all it’s festive glory. It’s self deprecating and sad at times, but a festive favourite for a reason.

Elf

Will Ferrel stars in this film as an Elf sent from the North Pole to New York City to search for his true self. In classic Will Ferrel form, its funny and heartwarming; a good film for all of the family.

It’s a Wonderful Life

This film from the 40’s tells the story of a man who wishes his life had never existed. Through a kind angel, the main character realises how important he really is, reforging family relationships and close bonds, whilst discovering what Christmas is all about.

Miracle on 34th street

The remake of this classic film, released in 1994, tells the story of an unlikely frienship between a young girl and Santa Clause. It’s a feel good film about Christmas, love and family, set against the glittering Christmas lights of the the Big Apple.

The Holiday

The plot follows a house switch between a Californian movie trailer producer and a English editor. As the story unfolds, the main characters meet new people and fall into a new way of life, experiencing Christmas anew. It’s heartwarming, funny and Christmassy to boot.
