H&M have been in hot water before when it had to remove a t-shirt featuring a skull in the middle of a star of David in 2014.
Now a white scarf with woven stripes which resembles the tallit prayer shawl has annoyed some people.
The tallit prayer shawl is used by Jewish people to wrap themselves in during prayer.

We are truly sorry if we have offended anyone with this piece. Everyone is welcome at H&M and we never take a religious or political stand. Stripes are one of the trends for this season and something we were inspired by. Our intension was never to upset anyone.
