No Halloween hasn’t come early, but it is that time of the year where costumes from comics, TV, film and manga come out at London ExCel expo centre.
See the costumes / cosplay and props from popular entertainment franchises
Fans of different franchises from the well known to the obscure are here. Some cosplayers put hundreds of pounds / dollars into their costumes to be as authentic and detailed as possible. Intensely sewing and gluing for hours, a labour of love, the costumes on show are a work of art themselves.
At MCM London we were greeted by Marvel, various anime including Attack on Titan, the Walking Dead, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Guardians of the Galaxy and many video games.
Buy lots of merchandise until you’re in debt
There are a lot of stalls selling all the merchandise you could want whether its Marvel comics, manga, models, figures and even weapons..
Meet guest actors, screen writers and artists
Guests turn up on different days to sign autographs and meet & greet. This year saw the Sherlock and Doctor Who panel featuring Steve Moffat and Mark Gatiss.
Game of Thrones stars also made an appearance.
Play new video games
You can preview at lot of games months before they come out. Here Link is playing ‘Dark Souls III’.
The Oculus rift was on show along with a long que to try it out. The ‘game’ appeared to be a demo featuring blocks.

This year Youtuber Tom Ska showed a new video featuring guns as a solution to all of life’s problems and did a talk about his veteran experience with the video platform.
Eat interesting food
There is a selection of unique snacks and food, mainly centered on Japanese cuisine. Fried chicken skewers (better than KFC) and Takoyaki are very popular among visitors.
