A recycling centre in the United States is desperately trying to fins a woman who dropped off a rare Apple computer worth approximately $200,000 (£136,000).
The woman who is believed to be in her 60s found the computer when she was clearing out her garage. Victor Gichun, vice-president of Clean Bay Area, in Silicon Valley said the mystery woman did not leave contact information or a tax receipt.
The Apple I was one of only 200 first generation desktop computers individually assembled by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ron Wayne in 1976 and therefore is a highly prized collector’s item. Only a few are known to now exist.
At the time they were sold for $666.66 each, however a working Apple I has been known to fetch $387,750 at auction.
