V&A Museum Announces Pink Floyd Exhibition



Starting in May of 2017, 'The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains' will run at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London until the following October.



Pink Floyd are a British band to this day that were formed back in 1965 by four young students although Syd Barrett was later replaced by David Gilmour whom performed on guitar. The new exhibit at the V&A will mark 50 years since the band's first official single, Arnold Layne, which was released in March of 1967; two years after their formation.

Nick Mason, drummer with Pink Floyd, attended the launch at the museum yesterday, which flew a giant inflatable pig over its roof for the occasion (like their 1977 Animals album cover), and although he was the sole attendee from the group, he said the remaining members are fully intending on cooperating with the new museum show.
