Getting the most for your money in Italy

Italy is a world famous tourist destination, and for good reason. With it’s friendly people, ancient architecture and amazing food, it's the ideal holiday spot for many people. Parma is a beautiful town in the north of the country. It is synonymous with good food, being the home of Parma ham and Parmigiano cheese. There are great restaurants and bars and the city is quaint and pretty, with the pink Verona marble of the Baptistery contrasting with the classic Italian architecture. It’s a quieter, cheaper version of some of the bigger northern cities.


The Amalfi coast is stunning, and very, very expensive. Whilst it is totally worth the money, there are some slightly cheaper options available. Avoid the bigger towns like Positano and Amalfi and stay in Maiori or Minori
