After conquering the music world, Rihanna is now one of the biggest stars on the planet, and she is slowly expanding her empire into the fashion world.
The 28-year-old singer, style icon and Puma‘s creative director has unveiled her latest campaign for her third collaboration with sock label Stance.
The 19-piece sock and hosiery summer 2016 collection is described as ‘romantic athleisure’, with sporty silhouettes revisited for a sexy, ‘baby-doll’ look which includes soft pastels, bows, sheer lace, toeless, footless and over-the-knee designs. The number 8 is stitched on several pairs to celebrate significant milestones for the artist, such as her birth year 1988 and her 8th album Anti, the fastest album to be certified Platinum ever.
‘It’s amazing to watch Rihanna take charge of the project she’s put her name on, and see how her vision comes to life in the socks and through the campaign,’ said Candy Harris, the Senior Vice President of the Stance women’s division. ‘She continues to innovate the category and reminds us all that socks can be a defining style statement.’
Rihanna’s relationship with the brand started back in 2012, when the company created socks for her Complex magazine photo shoot; last year, she was named as contributing creative director.
