The BBC shocked us all this morning with the announcement of a surprising new presenter on Top Gear’s Twitter feed. The newest presenter is none other than former Friends actor Matt LeBlanc!
Fans will remember when LeBlanc famously set an as-yet unbeaten lap time of 1m 42.1s in the Kia cee’d in a past episode.
Perhaps The BBC were realising that the cult fans of the show weren’t so keen on Chris Evans as a replacement for Clarkson, May and Hammond and thought they would shake it up a little, and it truly did. We think people will finally start to get excited at the prospect of the new Top Gear with these presenters. One thing’s for sure, they have finally gotten the buzz they needed!
“As a car nut and a massive fan of Top Gear, I’m honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter,” Matt said in a press release. “What a thrill!”
So, what do you think? Will he be the “saviour” of Top Gear?
