Huge alligator becomes new golf course obstacle

A 12ft alligator was seen on a golf course, nicknamed Chubbs after the 1996 film Happy Gilmore.

The unnamed man pictured here carried on regardless after the alligator was spotted near Hole 13 at the River Pointe Golf Club in Albany, Georgia, today.

His friends refused him a ‘mulligan’, so he was forced to tee off next to the giant beast.

A local Gator Squad removed the alligator later on.

A spokesperson said:

‘His size attracted a few news cameras, but Chubbs is a neat gator, soaking up sun on Hole 13.

‘Problem was he was in a high profile area, daring anyone to make him move. We did.

‘The golfer in shot below needed to tee off, and his buddies would not grant him a mulligan. Lots of fun, and this big Ole gator is headed to the farm wearing his pink tape mouth restraint.’

Luckily, the alligator was wearing a mouth restraint at the time.
