False war hero exposed

stolen valor

Dave Harper thought he could get away with stolen valour but luckily many people noticed the very obvious giveaway in this doctored photo of himself supposedly holding a medal.

The beret lining is missing.

Jokes aside, even though the photoshop job is so bad a child could do a better job, he still carries on with the fraudulent claims.

Harper claimed to have won the Military Cross in 1969 for serving in Northern Ireland however the picture actually shows an Afghanistan conflict medal.

Lance Corporal Alfie Pope of the Parachute Regiment is the real soldier, awarded the medal from the Prince of Wales On February 9, 2012.
