Angelina Jolie’s Suite ‘By The Sea’ – Review

Angelina Jolie seems to have disappointed the critics, all around the world. Her production, ‘By The Sea’ is an exquisite view, not only of a jaw-dropping landscape of the coast of Sourthern France, but also of Roland and Vanessa, a married couple in crisis. Now, the reason why the critics (especially the American ones) were disappointed is obvious: Angelina’s piece is fabulously French; very distant ...

Indiana Jones 5 Confirmed

2015 was the year that made blockbuster revivals cool, with beloved franchises such as Jurassic World, Mad Max and Creed all enjoying great success, both critically and commercially. Not to mention Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ conquering of the global box office. This sounds like a good thing, as we get more of what we love. But I don’t trust ...

Daisy Ridley Eyed For Tomb Raider Reboot

The overwhelmingly positive reaction to Star Wars: The Force Awakens was always going to boost its relatively unknown actors to stardom, and for Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, the sky is truly the limit as job offers must be flooding in for the young hopefuls. Every big studio must be eyeing them up for some sort of reboot or sequel ...

Does The Captain America: Civil War Trailer Show Too Much?

It is very hard to predict when the Marvel money train is going to run out of steam. I mean, they made a film about a talking tree and raccoon in space that grossed close to $800 million at the box office. What I’m trying to say is that Marvel can’t really put a foot wrong at the moment and, if the latest Civil War trailer is anything to go by, they won’t be doing so anytime soon.

Everything looks amazing, from the potent character drama between Captain America and Iron Man to the action scenes with Black Panther, there is no denying that Marvel know how to put together a trailer that gets audiences hyped for 29th April. We see all of our favourite returning Avengers, as they are forced to choose sides in a war that is sure to have dire consequences for all future Marvel films. Captain America: Civil War is my most anticipated movie of the year bar none, however I can’t help feel that this trailer tripped up at the last and very important hurdle.

Saoirse Ronan Invites You To Live A Real Fairytale – ‘Brooklyn’ Review

Despite being deeply heart-rending, Irish films are usually true gems and ‘Brooklyn’ is no exception at all. There’s nothing but beauty in this story: Saoirse Ronan incarnates it in every single thing she does. By portraying Eilis, our protagonist, Ronan has proved that ‘Brooklyn’ is much more than a journey from Ireland to the most Irish part of New York ...

‘Venom’ Movie Reportedly In Works

Back in February of last year, we received the wonderful news that our beloved Spider-Man will join The Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time. After much negotiating, and a persistent North Korean hacking team, Sony struck a deal that gave creative rights back to Marvel, thus putting to an end to Sony’s somewhat average reign over ...

Batman vs Superman Set For Huge Opening Weekend

In case you (somehow) hadn’t heard, the two titans of comic books are making their first on-screen appearance together at the end of the month in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Overlong and unnecessary title aside, this is arguably the most anticipated film of the year, and early tracking has predicted that Dawn of Justice will earn a whopping ...

Could Assassins Creed Finally Bring Video Games and Movies Together?

The video game industry is huge, being the fourth biggest entertainment market in the world, larger than movies, even boasting the most successful worldwide entertainment product of all time with Grand Theft Auto 5. However, we haven’t seen ANY successful video game adaptations in Hollywood. It should be a sure way to make an easy buck, taking advantage of a ...

This year has already seen some very exciting releases in the world of film and TV, from the side-splitting Deadpool, the latest seasons of Vikings and piratical drama Black Sails. Ahead there are hugely anticipated films including Suicide Squad, Rogue One and Warcraft, not to mention new series of Game Of Thrones, and brand new releases like Luke Cage. Fortunately, ...

The 5 Highlights Of Oscars 2016 Without Mentioning Leonardo DiCaprio

We all knew it (well hoped for it): Leonardo was going to finally win an Oscar. It took a long time for him to win one, but in the end, the wait was worth it. And because it’s already been Leo’s night, we’re not going to spend more time talking about it. Memes seem to sum the news up perfectly: it only ...
