Chinese woman presumed dead for 10 years is found living in Internet cafe

In China, a woman who went missing 10 years ago and was presumed dead has turned up in…an internet café.

The woman, nicknamed Xiao Yun left home after an argument with her parents when she was around 14 years old. Her parents heard nothing for 10 years and presumed she had died.
However, a routine check in the internet café by police officers in the early hours of the 20th of November resulted in her being found.
Xian relied mainly on state handouts and occasionally she worked as a cashier in some of the internet café’s she played at.
She has now been reunited with her parents after being fined £5000.
Speaking to Qianjiang Evening News, her mother spoke of how she had never lost hope and that she hadn’t once changed her telephone number in case her daughter would try to contact them.
