‘Ketchup leather’ was invented by LA based chef Ernesto Uchimura, at the restaurant named Plan Check.

The ketchup squares may remind you of the artificial american style cheese squares you see in burgers.


They melt when in contact with the heat of a burger bun. Which is key to the invention, as regular ketchup makes burger buns soggy.
