Carlisle will travel for their next home game

Carlisle United will play their next home game at Preston’s Deepdale Stadium on the 19th December. This is due to flooding as a result of Storm Desmond that wreaked havoc across the North-West leaving thousands of homes without power and left Carlisle’s Brunton Park underwater.

Their opponents for the fixture Notts County have apparently been “extremely understanding every step of the way.” Which is good of them considering if they were not understanding about the situation they would be playing a very cold, polluted water polo match!

It is estimated around 1,000 homes are still without power in Cumbria.
