SNAP, Crackle and Rock ‘n’ Role: Rockers sing BIG in aid for Special Needs and Parents

The current representational view of the world right now is pretty grim. From my recent experiences, most of what I’ve been reading/seeing contains violence, natural disaster and the political ‘satire’ that is happening in certain countries. Now, I know these are not the only things happening in the world during this present time, yet, it just feels like at times, ...

Wonder Woman at 75: The Face of Gender Equality

Throughout the years, there has been a number of discussions highlighting the idea that female characters are being under-presented in the comic industry. However, a lot has changed within our current society, we have a female prime-minister, a possible female president and females are getting more recognition in a number of sports such as football, rugby and the WWE. This ...

It’s Official, UFC 205 Is Looking To Produce The Most Lucrative Event In UFC History

Roll back a few months ago and UFC 200 looked to be the most exciting and anticipated event in the company’s history. However, after issues regarding Connor McGregor and Jon Jones failing a drug test, the most eagerly awaited event ended-up being a bit ‘lacklustre’. That said, it was still an enjoyable event and there were some exciting matches, yet, it could have been so much more. Now fast forward to the present and we have probably the best stacked card since UFC 100. There’s a bit of history being made here too; this will be the first UFC event being staged in the prestigious Madison Square Garden following the long-awaited legalisation of mixed martial arts in the state of New York.

This event is stacking up to be one of the promotions most well-rounded fight card in recent memory. We have three championship bouts- Eddie Alvarez vs. Connor McGregor, Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thomson and Joanna Jedrzejczyk v Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Then there’s a bunch of former champions- Miesha Tate, Chris Weidman, Frankie Edgar and Rashad Evans and if that isn’t enoug

It will be a decade come 2017 since Martin Scorsese last won his first and only Oscar with the motion picture The Departed. And despite the lack of trailer or even poster, the American director’s newest feature Silence has officially been set for a 2016 release and already is in the Oscars’ race for best film. Adapted from the 1966 novel of the same name written by Shusako Endo, ...

Harley Quinn: Margot Robbie to co-produce spin-off, but is it really needed?

As one of the stand-out performers of the ‘disjointed’ Suicide Squad, Margot Robbie has now been reported to have signed with Warner Bros. for a Harley Quinn solo-film which she will executive produce. Nothing has been announced about the details of this film, it does however, mark the further expansion of the DC Extended Universe. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie has signed a ‘first-look’ deal with Warner ...

Dolphins and Cuttlefish rivalling Humans?

Everyone knows that humans are the superior race on our earth, but does that mean every other species are obsolete? For decades, scientist have questioned whether or not dolphins have a form of language that allows them to communicate with one another. Yet, many researchers are now believing that these intelligent cetaceans are capable of having ‘conversations’. With this being ...

Flashpoint- The In’s and Out’s

Flashpoint is coming to the CW’s The Flash for its third season. I am so glad that the production team are doing this, since the fans of the series, in addition to the comics, will finally be treated with the adaption of one of DC’s most famous story arcs. It’s even more famous as this story-line was the one that rebooted the ...
