Al Qaeda calls for more attacks against the West

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) have released a video calling for more ‘lone wolf’ attacks in the West.

AQAP official Khalid bin Umar Batarfi, who speaks in the nine-minute video, condemns “America, France and other kufr [disbeliever] nations,” according to SITE Intelligence.

“And as you put limits to freedom of expression and punish whomever goes against them, it is upon us to punish whoever transgresses our boundaries and sanctities.”

Batarfi was freed in April from a Yemeni prison.

In the video Batarfi praised Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, the alleged gunman who shot US Marines and a sailor on July 16 in Chattanooga, Tennessee:  “He penetrated the base, killing and injuring American Marines in a blessed jihadi operation.”
