Awards season has officially started, so it’s time for red carpet fashion!
On Wednesday night, the 42nd People’s Choice Awards were held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, celebrating the public’s favourite music, films, television shows and stars of the past year.
Check out some of the most glamorous red carpet looks of the night.
Kate Hudson arrived at the awards wearing a chic white Stella McCartney jumpsuit, while Claire Danes opted for a Burberry gown and Jimmy Choo heels. Kaley Cuoco matched her iridiscent mini-dress with a pair of Dior trainers.
Another stunning jumpsuit, this time by Roland Mouret has been seen on Natalie Dormer. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi matched perfectly in contrasting black and white outfits. DeGeneres wore a black suit by Saint Laurent, while de Rossi chose a white dress with matching trousers from Safiyaa. Melissa McCarthy showed off her slimmer figure in a pale pink tunic and sequin trousers.
Time to shine! Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet in a sequin dress by Vera Wang and silver Jimmy Choo heels. Vanessa Hudgens picked a very bold look, wearing a metallic Kayat Resort dress and matching choker. Her ‘Grease: Live’ co-star Julianne Hough wore an off-the-shoulder, skin-tight black sequin Kaufman Franco gown.
‘Pretty little liars’ stars Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell looked chic in all-black outfits. While Benson went for a long sleeved mini dress with embellished shoulders and open back by Philipp Plein, Mitchell stole the show in a long black halterneck gown with a thigh split. Keke Palmer stunned in a black two-piece number by Yousef Al-Jasmi.
Even Dakota Johnson, who won the award for Favourite Dramatic Movie Actress, opted for a two-piece ensemble, composed by a shimmery Armani Prive top and skirt. Ellen Pompeo attended the show in Michael Kors Collection, while Nathalie Emmanuel looked stunning in a 70s inspired look, with velvet flares and a mesh top.
Sasha Alexander, Kat Graham and Alison Brie stayed classy in colourful or black and white midi-length frocks, respectively from Antonio Berardi, David Koma and Cushnie Et Ochs.
Lucy Hale hit the carpet in a Victorian/Gothic look, wearing a Self Portrait lace-up flounced column dress. Favourite Movie Actress Sandra Bullock stunned in a little red dress. Abigail Spencer’s Alexia-Maria dress, completed by a floor length overlay and a fitted bodice, was definitely one of the best looks of the night.
